The Megalithic Time Machine is a one-of-a-kind astro shot I took at Lanyon Quoit in Cornwall, showing the constellation of Orion and it's surrounding nebulae.
Hopefully you'll agree that you don't have to be an astronomer to appreciate the beauty of the night sky!
The shot includes the Orion Nebula, Barnard's Loop (shaped like a giant number '6') , as well as the Angel Fish and Seagull nebulae to name but a few.
Of the two really bright stars, to the left is the blue light of Sirius the Dog Star and to the very top is the red supergiant Betelgeuse.
For over 1.2 MILLION nights Lanyon Quoit has nestled into these moors, the ancient people that built it and the rituals performed now lost in the mists of time.
